Elder Sean Polk is a fervent teacher and devoted believer whose devotion to Jesus and humanity radiates through his every action. His spiritual journey began in earnest in 1985 when he accepted salvation at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Reidsville, North Carolina, and in 1991, he became fully converted as a member of the From the Heart Church Ministry, formerly known as the Full Gospel AME Zion Church, under the mentorship of Drs. John and Diana Cherry.
His pursuit of knowledge led him to the University of Maryland, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Afro-American Studies in 1994. He then used his gifts to educate and disciple others as a Bible Studies Teacher at Full Gospel Christian School, serving middle and high school students.
In 1995, he answered God’s calling to “feed the flock of God,” dedicating his life to serve in various ministry roles. He became a guiding light for the Youth and Young Adult Ministries and served faithfully as the minister on call for Full Gospel’s Wednesday Noon Service.
In 2009, a new chapter began when he and his family joined Harvest United Ministries under the leadership of Bishop John and Co-Pastor Ernestine Lewis. By 2012, Elder Sean received his ordination as Minister of the Word from Bishop Monroe R. Saunders Jr., Presiding Prelate of the United Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic).
Since joining UCJC, Elder Sean has collaborated with numerous churches within the organization, becoming a trusted and respected voice at Sunday services, midweek Bible studies, and conferences. His topics of emphasis include faith, marriage, singleness, leadership, youth and young adult ministry, and the empowering presence of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
In 2025, Elder Sean and his family were led to join Bishop Saunders’ staff at Transformation Church, continuing their commitment to serve, build, and strengthen the body of Christ with humility, excellence, and love.

Statement of Faith from Romans 12:1–2
We believe in one God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are worthy of the same honor, worship, and obedience.
In view of God’s mercy, our daily worship is the offering of our whole lives to God as living, holy, and pleasing sacrifices.
We refuse the patterns of this age and pursue transformation through the renewing of our minds by Scripture, prayer, and the active work of the Spirit.
We accept that the Holy Spirit is God in us through His baptism.. As we receive Him, He sanctifies us, empowers us through His Gifts, and cultivates our character to conform to Christ.
With renewed minds, we discern, affirm, and do the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God in our homes, workplaces, and communities. This is our reasonable service.
